GAC receives eight technology awards at industry event
GAC secured eight accolades at the China-SAE Science and Technology Awards, including four top prizes for developments in automotive chips, electric powertrains, and vehicle safety.

On October 28, the China-SAE Science and Technology Awards in Suzhou recognized GAC with eight honors, including four first-place awards. The company was cited for its leadership in several automotive technology sectors, ranging from domestic chip production to electric propulsion systems.
A key focus of the awarded projects includes high-efficiency electric motors that utilize amorphous alloys and carbon fiber rotors. These components, which have achieved a peak efficiency of 99 percent, are currently integrated into GAC's HYPTEC, AION, and AISTALAND vehicle lineups. Additionally, the company has deployed an AI-assisted body design system that has reportedly increased design efficiency by over 30 percent in recent models like the GAC GS8 and ES9.
In the realm of electronics, GAC has established a domestic supply chain for automotive chips by partnering with 105 entities, resulting in the implementation of nearly 400 chip models across its vehicle production. The company continues to prioritize commercializing these core technological advancements to maintain its competitive position in the automotive manufacturing sector.
