GAC Reports Strong First Half, Accelerates Global Expansion
GAC Group's total vehicle sales increased by 2.35% in the first half of 2026, driven by strong demand for energy-efficient models and significant growth in international markets. Exports of its own brands more than doubled.

GAC Group has reported robust sales figures for the first half of 2026, with total vehicle sales reaching 773,100 units, a 2.35% increase year-on-year. Energy-saving and alternative energy vehicles constituted the majority of sales, accounting for 62.82% of the total.
The company's own brands demonstrated significant growth, with sales surging by 35.69% to 346,000 units. GAC is also set to achieve a major production milestone, with its cumulative output expected to surpass 30 million units in July.
International markets emerged as GAC's fastest-growing segment. Exports of its own brands saw a substantial increase of 132% in the first six months, reaching 121,500 units. Growth was particularly strong across the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
In key regions, GAC electric models have gained traction, becoming top sellers in specific segments in Mexico and Bolivia. The company has also established a strong presence in Europe, with operations in Italy, the UK, and Spain, and has commenced local production of the AION UT model in Austria.
