Gallbladder Cancer Foundation and Citizen Health Expand AI Tool Partnership

The Gallbladder Cancer Foundation (GBCF) and Citizen Health have expanded their collaboration to provide Ari, an AI-powered tool, to the gallbladder cancer community. This next phase of their partnership aims to equip GBCF's patients and their families with resources for managing the disease.

Gallbladder cancer is an uncommon diagnosis, often leaving patients and their loved ones to navigate complex medical journeys independently. Through this expanded partnership, GBCF and Citizen Health intend to offer enhanced support and resources, addressing a gap often experienced by those with rarer conditions compared to more common cancers.

Ari is designed to assist patients and caregivers in managing the daily aspects of cancer care. The tool aggregates and organizes medical records in one accessible location, translates complex medical reports into understandable language, and tracks treatments and their side effects. It also aids in preparing information for second opinions and identifying relevant clinical trials.

Citizen Health states that Ari aims to return time and mental energy to patients and caregivers, allowing them to focus on treatment and family. The tool is available at no cost to the gallbladder cancer community, with a focus on patient data privacy and requiring explicit permission before acting on a patient's behalf.
