Games Global Enters Alberta Regulated iGaming Market

Games Global has received a supplier licence from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) commission, allowing the firm to operate within the newly regulated Alberta iGaming sector. This launch establishes Alberta as the second official online gaming jurisdiction in Canada, joining Ontario.

The company’s entry includes the deployment of a portfolio of slot titles, such as Gold Blitz and 12 Masks of Fire. Furthermore, the supplier will offer live casino content through a partnership with OnAir Entertainment.

Mark MacCombie, Chief Commercial Officer at Games Global, stated that the company considers North America a key strategic focus. Having established a presence in Ontario, the firm aims to replicate its model by collaborating with local operators to expand its footprint.

The regulatory shift in Alberta is part of a broader trend of provinces in North America formalizing online gaming frameworks, attracting major industry suppliers to seek localized licensing.
