Gan & Lee and Menarini Group to Collaborate on Bofanglutide in Europe

Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals and the multinational biopharmaceutical company The Menarini Group have signed an exclusive licensing agreement concerning the development and commercialization of bofanglutide in European markets. The announcement was made on September 3, 2026.

The collaboration will focus on the clinical development and market introduction of bofanglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist developed by Gan & Lee. The drug is currently under investigation for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity.

Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, but it is expected to significantly increase the availability of bofanglutide for patients across Europe. The Menarini Group brings extensive experience and a well-established network in pharmaceutical development and distribution within the region.

Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals, listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (603087.SH), has made substantial investments in the research and development of novel therapies for diabetes and obesity. This partnership with Menarini marks a strategic move towards the company's international growth objectives.
