Ganter adds pneumatic power clamps to industrial range
Ganter has introduced the GN 8620 and GN 8621 pneumatic power clamps, designed for automated and semi-automated production lines.

Component manufacturer Ganter has expanded its clamping technology portfolio with two new pneumatic models: the GN 8620 and GN 8621. The GN 8620 is built for fully automated operations, while the GN 8621 features an additional hand lever for semi-automated workflows, allowing for manual intervention when necessary. Both models utilize a pneumatic cylinder with an elliptical cross-section, operating at pressures between 2 and 8 bar.
The clamps operate on a toggle lever principle, which locks the clamping arm in place at the dead point. This mechanism ensures that workpieces remain secure even in the event of a pressure loss. The clamps offer variable opening angles from 0 to 135 degrees and include sensor-based end-position detection to minimize the need for manual recalibration.
Encased in aluminum housings, the internal mechanisms are lifetime-lubricated to protect against debris and industrial wear. With clamping forces ranging from 530 to 2,700 N, Ganter has standardized the hole patterns to ensure compatibility with existing fixtures and jigs, allowing for streamlined integration into current manufacturing setups.
