Ganter expands offerings for cable entries and seals

Ganter has expanded its product line to include a variety of cable glands and accessories for sealing and strain relief applications where cables must pass through enclosures or bulkheads. These standard components are crucial for mechanical engineering and plant construction, ensuring cables are secured at their entry points to prevent mechanical stress and maintain optimal sealing.

The cable glands are available in multiple sizes and three distinct thread types: metric (M12 to M63), PG (PG 7 to PG 48), and NPT (for the U.S. market). While PG threads have been largely superseded by metric standards, they remain relevant for retrofitting and repairing older systems. Material options include grey polyamide, brass, and stainless steel, catering to different environmental conditions.

Complementing the cable glands, Ganter provides related accessories. These include mounting nuts for thin panels, threaded plugs to seal unused openings, and multiple sealing inserts that allow up to eight cables to pass through a single gland. Reducers are also available to accommodate smaller cable glands in larger openings.

These cable glands and their accessories find applications in electrical cabinets, welding stations, battery storage systems, and electric vehicle charging stations. They are essential for ensuring secure and reliable cable installations in demanding industrial environments.
