Ganter introduces new standard parts for enhanced food safety
Ganter has launched a new line of standard parts designed to improve product safety in the food and pharmaceutical industries. These components are easily detectable either visually or by metal detectors.
Manufacturer Ganter has introduced a new range of standard parts aimed at enhancing product safety, particularly within the food and pharmaceutical sectors. The new components, including knobs, handles, and levers, are made from specialized materials that allow for their easy detection as potential contaminants in production processes.
The new standard parts can be identified in two ways. Visually detectable parts are colored blue, a color compliance choice as blue is naturally absent in most food products. This makes them easy to spot both by human inspection and automated monitoring systems. Additionally, these parts are manufactured using materials compliant with FDA and EU regulations.
For parts detectable by metal detectors, special additives are incorporated into the blue plastic, enabling identification by metal sensors. This feature is designed to supplement visual detection in scenarios where even small fragments can pose issues, capable of detecting metal particles as small as 0.125 cm³.
Ganter states that the range of new detectable standard parts includes items such as U-handles, hinges, locking levers, and wing knobs. All products meet the required standards for food use, boosting confidence in their suitability for demanding industrial applications.
