Garmin's Fenix 9 Smartwatch Features Brighter Screen, Faster Maps
Garmin has unveiled its new Fenix 9 smartwatch line, with the base model boasting a 3,000-nit OLED display, twice as bright as its predecessor. The updated device also offers improved performance and storage.
Garmin has introduced its new Fenix 9 line of rugged smartwatches, highlighted by a base model featuring an OLED display with up to 3,000 nits of brightness, doubling the output of its previous generation. The Fenix 9 starts at $999.99 for the 43mm case option.
The new Fenix 9 incorporates 50 percent more RAM and an upgraded map engine, enabling faster map panning. The watch also comes equipped with a scratch-resistant sapphire lens and increased 64GB of storage, a significant boost from earlier models.
Garmin is also introducing new software features, such as Garmin Epic, which consolidates workout data over extended periods to create a comprehensive overview of a user's health and performance metrics. These enhancements are geared towards demanding outdoor and sports activities.
The Fenix 9 series further solidifies Garmin's offering in the durable smartwatch segment, addressing consumer demand for more capable and resilient wearable technology for challenging environments.
