GARO Consolidates Electrification Operations in New Hillerstorp Facility
Electrical product manufacturer GARO is consolidating a significant portion of its electrification business operations from three facilities into a new location in Hillerstorp, Sweden, during 2022.
Electrical product manufacturer GARO is expanding its operations in Sweden in 2022 by consolidating a significant part of its GARO Electrification business area from three separate facilities into a new, larger site in Hillerstorp. The move aims to enhance efficiency and support growth in both the GARO Electrification and GARO E-mobility segments.
The facility in Hillerstorp, which GARO is leasing, will encompass production, warehouse, and office spaces. These facilities are expected to become operational by autumn/winter 2022. The consolidation will affect production operations in Värnamo and Gnosjö for GARO Electrification, moving them to the new Hillerstorp location.
Concurrently, GARO E-mobility's operations in Gnosjö will be expanded. The lease for the property in Värnamo has been terminated, and a smaller industrial property in Gnosjö is being divested with an estimated market value of approximately SEK 15 million.
Patrik Andersson, CEO of GARO Group, stated that developing operations within Sweden and Småland is integral to the company's growth strategy. The expansion in Gnosjö is considered significant for the municipality, reflecting the company's heritage and commitment to the region.
