Garuda Aerospace Reports 41% Profit Growth for FY26 Ahead of Planned IPO
Chennai-based drone manufacturer Garuda Aerospace posted a net profit of ₹25.9 crore for FY26 as revenue surged by nearly 67% to ₹206 crore.

Garuda Aerospace has reported a net profit of ₹25.9 crore for the fiscal year 2026, marking a 41.1% increase over the previous year's ₹18.4 crore. The company, which specializes in drone manufacturing and drone-as-a-service operations, saw its operating revenue climb 66.8% to ₹206 crore.
The revenue split shows that drone and parts sales contributed ₹99.4 crore to the top line, while service-based offerings accounted for ₹106.5 crore. Despite the top-line growth, the company faced a 73.2% increase in total expenses, reaching ₹172.2 crore, primarily driven by rising costs of raw materials, which surged to ₹116.8 crore.
This financial disclosure follows the regulatory approval received in August for the company's proposed public listing. Garuda Aerospace has sought approval to raise up to ₹750 crore through a fresh issue of shares, intended to bolster working capital and facilitate debt repayment. The company has previously secured over $37 million in funding, with a valuation estimated at $250 million following its last investment round.
The startup continues to position itself as a major player in the Indian drone industry, claiming to have manufactured over 3,000 units to date. Its forward-looking strategy involves further investment in autonomous flight, defense systems, and data analytics.
