Gastops and Anschütz partner for Canadian Patrol Submarine Project support
Gastops and Anschütz have signed a memorandum of understanding to provide sustainment and technical diagnostics for Canada’s upcoming submarine fleet.
Gastops and Anschütz have entered into a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on the sustainment of the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP). Announced at the EURONAVAL 2026 exhibition in Paris, the partnership aims to establish domestic infrastructure for the testing, integration, and long-term maintenance of submarine mission systems.
The collaboration will focus on diagnostics, simulator environments, and field support to ensure the operational readiness of the future fleet. Anschütz, which specializes in submarine automation and navigation, will work with Gastops to transfer technical expertise, helping Canada build sovereign capability to service the vessels over their multi-decade service life.
This agreement follows Gastops' previous teaming agreement with TKMS, reflecting a broader strategy to solidify a Canadian-led industrial enterprise for submarine maintenance. The companies stated that this initiative is designed to align with Canada’s industrial and technological benefit objectives, ensuring that high-value technical support remains available within the country.
