Gastops and Vestas Renew Supply Deal for MetalSCAN Technology
Gastops and wind turbine manufacturer Vestas have renewed a long-term supply agreement for Gastops' MetalSCAN oil debris monitoring technology to be used across Vestas' turbine platforms.
Gastops, a provider of intelligent condition monitoring solutions, has announced the renewal of its long-term supply agreement with Vestas Wind Systems A/S, a major wind turbine manufacturer. The agreement will see Gastops continue to supply its MetalSCAN technology for use in Vestas' turbine platforms.
The renewed contract, effective January 1, 2027, reinforces the role of MetalSCAN in supporting turbine reliability, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance initiatives within the wind energy sector. The announcement was made at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026.
MetalSCAN is an online oil debris monitoring technology that detects and tracks metallic wear particles within lubricated systems, providing real-time insights into machinery health. This helps operators identify developing issues early, supports condition-based maintenance strategies, and reduces the risk of unplanned downtime.
Gastops has delivered over 50,000 MetalSCAN sensors globally for applications in aerospace, energy, and industrial sectors since 1979.
