Gasum and Preem have finalized a partnership to integrate Gasum’s Swedish biogas filling station network into Preem’s service offering. The deal, which will be implemented by the end of December 2025, enables Preem’s corporate cardholders to refuel with both liquefied and compressed biogas at Gasum locations, consolidating their fuel expenses into a single invoice.

With road transport contributing significantly to Sweden’s greenhouse gas emissions, the shift toward renewable fuels has become a priority for logistics companies. By expanding access to biogas, the two companies aim to provide a more flexible and sustainable solution for heavy-duty transport operators.

"This partnership makes it easier for more logistics providers to choose sustainable alternatives," said Sharareh Edström, Head of Traffic Sweden at Gasum. Preem’s Daniel Granquist noted that the integration helps the company meet the growing demand for circular energy sources, such as biogas produced from industrial and agricultural waste.

The initiative aligns with broader recommendations from Swedish regulatory bodies, including the Climate Policy Council, which identify an increased reliance on renewable fuels as essential for meeting national climate targets in the transport sector.
