Gates Law Firm PLLC has released details concerning a case where Immanuel Little Rock church reported an alleged sexual offense to law enforcement but withheld certain information from its congregation.

The matter involves Patrick Stephen Miller, who served as an intern and later as the assistant director of children's ministry at the church, as reported by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Accusations from an elementary-age victim led to a second-degree sexual assault charge against Miller. In January 2022, Miller entered a plea agreement, resulting in a conviction for misdemeanor harassment. He received a one-year suspended sentence with 19 days credit for time served and was not required to register as a sex offender.

The law firm highlights that while the church notified authorities, it did not share all details of the abuse with its congregation, raising questions about transparency and accountability.
