Film production company Gaumont has recently enhanced its historical archives with significant acquisitions.

During 2014 and 2015, the company added notable items to its collection, including a pair of Gallé lamps equipped with an electrical system and a Lumière-type speaker. These lamps are now part of Gaumont's sound device collection.

In June 2015, Gaumont secured a Charles Proust Gaumont Chronomegaphone at auction, outbidding the Mexico City Film Library. This device was first demonstrated in 1912 at the Mexico City Opera.

Early in 2016, Gaumont acquired nearly 300 drawings, plans, and sketches by set designer Max Douy (1914–2007). Douy worked on 21 Gaumont films between 1945 and 1983. The acquired pieces include original works for films such as the "Fantomas" series and works by Claude Autant-Lara.

These additions underscore Gaumont's ongoing commitment to preserving its cinematic legacy and enriching its archives for historical research and public interest.
