GCCL and LabConnect Expand Global Clinical Trial Collaboration
South Korea-based GCCL and US-based LabConnect have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen their global partnership in clinical trials and enhance project execution.

GCCL, a central laboratory for clinical trials headquartered in South Korea, and LabConnect, a global provider of central laboratory services, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand their worldwide collaboration in clinical trials. The agreement, signed on October 12, aims to increase efficiency in global clinical trial projects by combining the companies' regional expertise in North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
During the signing ceremony, key representatives from both organizations, including GCCL CEO Kwan-goo Cho and LabConnect founder Jeff Mayhew, discussed collaborative initiatives. These include identifying potential clients, integrating global clinical trial and central laboratory services, and cooperating on project management and client communication.
As part of the agreement, GCCL and LabConnect plan to establish a joint operational structure leveraging their respective regional strengths and partner networks. The companies also intend to advance joint sales and marketing efforts and implement standardized systems and processes for customer inquiries and project management.
LabConnect stated the collaboration will simplify the execution of complex studies in South Korea and the Asia-Pacific region. GCCL CEO Cho indicated the MOU marks the beginning of a partnership that will connect GCCL's Asia-Pacific capabilities with LabConnect's global network to grow their joint clinical trial business.
