GCCL and LabConnect Sign Agreement to Expand Global Clinical Trial Collaboration

GCCL, a South Korea-based central laboratory for clinical trials, and LabConnect, a North American partner in central laboratory services and clinical sample solutions, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on October 12, 2026. The agreement aims to deepen their global collaboration in the field of clinical trials.

The partnership is designed to enhance the operational efficiency of global clinical trial projects by combining the regional capabilities and expertise of both companies across North America and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This initiative seeks to streamline joint sales and project execution across these areas.

The collaboration will focus on identifying potential clients, integrating global clinical trial and central laboratory services, improving project management and client communication, and developing joint marketing strategies. A framework for mutual cooperation, leveraging respective regional strengths and partner relationships, will be established.

"Through this collaboration with GCCL, we expect to simplify and orchestrate complex studies conducted in South Korea and the Asia-Pacific region," said Jeff Mayhew, Founder and Strategic Commercial Advisor at LabConnect. "By pairing GCCL's laboratory and logistics strength with our global alliance of clinical and specialty laboratories, we provide sponsors a more coordinated path for multi-regional studies."

GCCL CEO Kwan-goo Cho stated that the MOU marks the beginning of connecting GCCL's execution capabilities in the APAC region with LabConnect's global network. The companies, building on a relationship spanning over 20 years, intend to drive joint sales and marketing initiatives and implement shared systems and processes for client management.
