Technology provider G-Core Labs has announced a partnership with Armenian telecom operator Ucom. Under the agreement, G-Core will supply DDoS protection services to safeguard election broadcasts in Armenia for the 2026 elections.
The collaboration is designed to ensure the resilience and availability of Ucom's broadcasting infrastructure against potential cyber threats. DDoS attacks can disrupt online services by overwhelming them with traffic, posing a significant risk to critical communications during electoral events.
G-Core's services will focus on protecting Ucom's media distribution and election-related transmissions. The company stated it will offer real-time threat mitigation and rapid response capabilities leveraging its global network infrastructure.
This agreement positions G-Core as a provider of essential cybersecurity solutions for media and telecommunications sectors. The company aims to ensure uninterrupted access to information and broadcasting services for the public during the electoral period.
