The digital version of Gears Tactics has reached the top of sales charts in the US and UK Xbox Stores, despite its availability on Xbox Game Pass.
IT House reported on October 13 that the digital version of Gears Tactics has achieved significant commercial success. The game has climbed to the top of the sales charts in the US Xbox Store, surpassing popular titles such as Minecraft Legends and Star Wars: Galactic Legacy. Notably, Gears Tactics has also topped the sales charts in the UK and other regions. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given that the game was released simultaneously on Xbox Game Pass. Some earlier assessments had predicted that Game Pass would reduce direct game purchases. However, Gears Tactics' success refutes this assumption, demonstrating strong demand for separately purchased games. According to data from TrueAchievements, Gears Tactics has become the second-largest release for the Xbox platform in 2026, outselling Halo: Combat Evolved and slightly trailing Forza Horizon 6.
