Gedeon Richter establishes PhD scholarship program
Pharmaceutical company Gedeon Richter Plc. has launched a new PhD scholarship program to support young researchers in strategic areas like psychiatry and gynecology. The program aims to foster scientific excellence and talent development.
Budapest, Hungary – Gedeon Richter Plc. has established a new "Richter Gedeon Excellence PhD Scholarship" program to support postgraduate studies in natural and medical sciences. The initiative is managed by the Richter Gedeon Talentum Foundation.
The scholarship is intended for talented individuals under 35 years of age pursuing doctoral studies that align with the company's strategic research and development priorities. Key areas of focus include psychiatry (particularly negative symptoms, cognitive impairment, neuroinflammation), gynecological diseases (including PCOS), autoimmune rheumatic conditions, and non-hormonal contraception.
This program underscores Gedeon Richter's commitment to supporting education and nurturing future talent within the Hungarian pharmaceutical sector. The foundation aims to identify and support young professionals who can contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical research and development.
Eligible candidates must be enrolled in state-funded PhD programs. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of 200,000 Hungarian Forints and can be extended for up to 24 months, subject to academic performance. Research can span any phase of the drug discovery and development process, including translational research and digital health solutions.
