Hungarian pharmaceutical company Gedeon Richter Plc. has released Aertal® cream (1.5%), a topical medication for adult joint and muscle pain.

The active substance in the cream is aclefenac, which belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Aclefenac works by providing localized pain and inflammation relief. Aertal® cream is indicated for conditions such as inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints resulting from sprains, strains, or trauma.

The cream can also be used for joint and muscle injuries and inflammatory or degenerative conditions. The medication is intended for adult use only and is not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. It should not be applied to open wounds, mucous membranes, or irritated skin.

Gedeon Richter advises caution when using Aertal® cream in specific situations, including pregnancy and breastfeeding, or for individuals with gastrointestinal disorders, impaired liver or kidney function, or heart failure. Patients should consult with their physician or pharmacist regarding potential side effects and interactions with other medications.
