Geekplus and LPP Logistics Expand Automation Partnership in European Retail

The partnership aims to build and scale automated "warehouses of the future" designed to enhance the speed and resilience of retail fulfilment operations across Europe. By transforming a successful initial deployment into a replicable model, the venture supports LPP Logistics in establishing a flexible automation strategy.

<b>Intelligent Automation for European Retail Logistics</b>

As the European retail landscape evolves, customer demands for faster, more accurate, and consistent deliveries are increasing, particularly during peak seasonal periods.

The Geekplus solution implemented by LPP Logistics is intended to meet these challenges by enabling a highly scalable, robotics-driven fulfilment operation. This system can adapt to shifts in LPP's fashion assortment and SKU diversity over time.

<b>Automation Tailored for Fashion Retail Demands</b>

The implemented automation provides 1.4 million automatic high-bay storage locations and has achieved a measured 99% efficiency gain. The system is designed to augment LPP Logistics's operations by combining automated processes with skilled human oversight. This approach reduces repetitive manual tasks and extensive walking distances, allowing employees to concentrate on monitoring and exception handling.

Across two LPP Logistics sites, Geekplus robots work collaboratively to efficiently store and move a wide variety of fashion products. More than 1,600 autonomous robots operate between racks and workstations, supporting hundreds of thousands of storage locations and totes. The storage systems reach approximately 12 meters in height, maximizing vertical space utilization.

<b>A Scalable Fulfilment Platform for Growth</b>

Scalability is a core component of this project. Geekplus systems are engineered to allow LPP Logistics to increase robot capacity, workstations, and overall throughput as needed, accommodating seasonal peaks, changing storage requirements, and growing SKU counts. The Geekplus Robot Management System enables consolidated orchestration of large robot fleets, supporting over 1,000 robots within a single site.
