Geely Cyan Racing secures fifth victory in 2026 Kumho FIA TCR World Tour

Vila Real, Portugal – Geely Cyan Racing secured its fifth victory of the season in the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour at the conclusion of the European rounds in Vila Real, Portugal, on July 15, 2026. The win also propelled the team into the lead of the overall standings by a significant margin. French driver Yann Ehrlacher won the first race, with the team's other drivers finishing within the top four.

The European leg of the season included races in Misano, at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Paul Ricard, and Vila Real. The team encountered a variety of track challenges, from full-throttle straights to technical cornering sections. The Geely Preface TCR demonstrated competitiveness across these diverse circuits, benefiting from the company's in-house developed chassis, suspension, and powertrain.

The team now leads the team championship by 56 points. In the drivers' standings, Santiago Urrutia is in first place, with Yann Ehrlacher fourth, Thed Björk sixth, and Ma Qinghua seventh. Geely continues to leverage motorsport to showcase its technical capabilities and support the brand's global development.

Geely's global expansion is progressing rapidly. In the first half of 2026, Geely achieved worldwide sales of 1,100,373 units. The brand has entered seven European markets, including Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, and France. Concurrently, the Geely STARRAY EM-i became the best-selling PHEV SUV in Australia in May. The Kumho FIA TCR World Tour will return to China in October 2026, with events in Chengdu and Zhuzhou, culminating in the season finale in Macau. Geely Cyan Racing aims to build on its European racing experience to further enhance the brand's presence in motorsport on its home circuits.
