GeneDx Holdings Corp. Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Investor Losses

ClaimsFiler, a free shareholder information service, is notifying investors of GeneDx Holdings Corp. (NasdaqGS: WGS) that they have until August 3, 2026, to file lead plaintiff applications in a securities class action. The lawsuit targets the company for those who purchased or acquired GeneDx shares between April 16, 2025, and May 4, 2026.

The action charges GeneDx and certain executives with failing to disclose material adverse information during the Class Period, violating federal securities laws. Allegations center on misrepresentations and omissions made during the specified timeframe.

On May 4, 2026, GeneDx reported first-quarter 2026 financial results revealing a drop in adjusted gross margin from 74% to 69%. The company also missed revenue estimates for its exome and genome lines and lowered its full-year revenue guidance to $475-$490 million, down from a previous forecast of $540-$550 million. Additionally, GeneDx disclosed a $31.2 million impairment charge related to its acquisition of Fabric Genomics, an AI-driven genomic interpretation firm.

Following this news, GeneDx shares fell $33.42, or 49.2%. The case, Basma v. GeneDx Holdings Corp., is filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
