GeneDx Holdings Corp. Investors With Losses Can Seek Lead Role in Class Action Lawsuit

San Diego, CA โ€“ July 15, 2026 โ€“ A class action lawsuit has been filed against GeneDx Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: WGS) on behalf of investors who purchased common stock between April 16, 2025, and May 4, 2026. The law firm Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP announced that investors who suffered significant losses during this period have until August 3, 2026, to file a motion to be appointed lead plaintiff.

The lawsuit, titled Basma v. GeneDx Holdings Corp., alleges that GeneDx and certain of its executives violated federal securities laws. The core of the complaint centers on the company's acquisition of Fabric Genomics, an AI-driven genomic interpretation firm, which was announced in April 2025.

According to the allegations, GeneDx made false and misleading statements and failed to disclose significant issues regarding Fabric Genomics' viability. These undisclosed problems allegedly impacted GeneDx's overall business and operations. On May 4, 2026, GeneDx reported first quarter 2026 results that included a drop in adjusted gross margin from 74% to 69%, a reduced earnings forecast, and a $31.3 million impairment charge directly linked to Fabric Genomics. Following this announcement, GeneDx's stock price fell by over 49%.

Investors who wish to pursue a lead role in the class action can contact Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP. The lead plaintiff is typically the investor with the largest financial stake in the outcome and plays a key role in directing the litigation on behalf of all class members. An investor's ability to share in any potential recovery is not contingent upon serving as lead plaintiff.
