General Motors announced its second fiscal quarter results, with net profit falling 31.13% to $1.31 billion compared to the same period last year. Revenue saw a slight increase of 1.92%, reaching $48.03 billion.
The automotive business generated $900 million in operating cash flow and $503 million in free cash flow. Earnings per share were $1.41, down 25.77% from the prior year.
Despite the year-over-year profit decline, General Motors raised its full-year financial outlook. The company increased its adjusted EBIT guidance range and its adjusted automotive free cash flow forecast. The projected adjusted diluted earnings per share range was also elevated.
The upward revision in guidance signals confidence in future performance, particularly driven by strong results in the North American market. Profitability in the China region also showed improvement, contributing to the updated outlook.
