Genesis Introduces New Large Electric SUV, the GV90

Automaker Genesis has introduced its new flagship model, the all-electric GV90 SUV, joining the segment of large electric sport utility vehicles. The vehicle is built on the same 800-volt E-GMP platform used by the Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Kia EV9.

The Genesis GV90 will be available as a three-row, seven-seat version, which is expected to be the most common configuration. In addition, the launch focuses on the four-seat GV90 Neolum model, which closely replicates the Neolum concept car. Notably, the Neolum variant features striking pillarless rear doors, which Genesis refers to as the Neolum Arch Gate.

These pillarless doors add dramatic flair to the vehicle, and Genesis has previously stated its success in engineering them to meet safety requirements for mass production. All GV90 models also come equipped with 12 airbags, including the world's first roof airbag designed to deploy in case of a rollover.

The new GV90 blends Genesis's signature luxury design with modern electric vehicle technology. The four-seat Neolum version emphasizes premium travel comfort, highlighting the vehicle's striking interior and finishes.
