Genesis Reveals GV90 Electric SUV with Three Rows

Hyundai's luxury division, Genesis, has introduced its first full-size, three-row electric SUV for the US market, designated the GV90. The vehicle aims to distinguish itself through its unique design and features.

A standout element of the GV90 is its coach-style rear doors and hidden B-pillar, a system Genesis refers to as the "Neolun Arch Gate." When the front and rear doors open simultaneously outwards, the B-pillar retracts or integrates into the front door, creating an unusually large entryway into the cabin.

Genesis describes this setup as the "world's first independently opening and closing hidden B-pillar coach door." This design choice is intended to enhance the sense of space and luxury for occupants.

The GV90's introduction signifies Genesis's push to expand its electric vehicle portfolio and compete more directly in the premium, full-size SUV segment. The new model is expected to intensify competition among luxury automakers focusing on electrification.
