George Aquino Named President of Amway Hotel Corporation

Amway Hotel Corporation (AHC) announced the appointment of George Aquino as its new president, effective October 12, 2026. Aquino succeeds Rick Winn, who transitions to a part-time advisory role after eight years leading the company.

Aquino returns to AHC with over three decades of experience in the international hospitality sector. He most recently served as president and CEO of Ayala Land Hospitality in the Philippines for over two years. He also has a history spanning more than 30 years with AHC, contributing to the shaping of the company's operations in Michigan and beyond.

AHC currently manages a portfolio of 16 hotels, 2,800 rooms, and 42 restaurants across Michigan, Florida, and the British Virgin Islands. Michael Nelson, president and CEO of Amway, highlighted Aquino's deep understanding of hospitality and community connections.

Aquino previously held the position of vice president and managing director at AHC from 2016 to 2024, playing a key role in portfolio expansion and management contract growth. He also led the opening of the Midwest's first JW Marriott Grand Rapids. Under Winn's leadership, AHC's hotel and restaurant portfolio saw significant growth.
