Konecranes Oyj has received a new order from the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) for two Ship-to-Shore (STS) container cranes. The order reinforces Konecranes' position as a global supplier of port cranes.

Finnish crane manufacturer Konecranes Oyj has secured a new order from the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) in the United States for two Ship-to-Shore (STS) container cranes. The cranes will be delivered to GPA's Garden City Terminal in Savannah, Georgia.
This latest order follows a previous contract in 2023, where Konecranes supplied GPA with four STS cranes and eight Rubber-Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes. The value of the new order has not been disclosed, but it will be included in Konecranes' orders received for the second quarter of 2024.
The Georgia Ports Authority is one of the fastest-growing ports in the U.S. and is continuously working to expand and modernize its facilities to accommodate increasing cargo volumes. Konecranes' equipment is integral to enhancing the terminal's efficiency and capacity.
The STS cranes to be delivered are standard Konecranes models, designed for the efficient loading and unloading of large container vessels. This order underscores Konecranes' commitment to providing reliable and high-performance solutions for global port operators.
