German Non-Profit Projekt Schwarz-Weiß e.V. Expands Services in Kenya

Projekt Schwarz-Weiß e.V., a German non-profit organization, has significantly expanded its social initiatives in Msambweni, Kenya, since its founding in 1997. What began with efforts to house orphans has grown into a multi-faceted support system encompassing education, healthcare, and vocational training.

The organization was established by the Dürr family following a holiday in Kenya. Gudrun Dürr ultimately relocated to Kenya to oversee the "Nice View Trust Foundation," which now provides a safe environment and future prospects for numerous individuals in the region.

Key projects include the Nice View Gratitude Academy, an educational facility serving over 200 children, and the Nice View Medical Centre. This medical facility, which opened in 2014, has treated thousands of patients annually and was recognized as the best healthcare facility in Kwale County in 2016.

The medical center now offers 24/7 service and aims to provide affordable medical care in an area where many cannot afford treatment. The organization has also acquired an ambulance and developed supporting operations, such as a farm for food supply and workshops for vocational training.

Pursuing long-term sustainability, Projekt Schwarz-Weiß e.V. acknowledges the challenges of operating in a developing country. The organization expresses gratitude to its sponsors and volunteers, emphasizing their crucial role in the continued success and development of the Nice View projects.
