The German Pharmacist Day ('Deutscher Apothekertag') concluded in Düsseldorf on September 18, 2025. The three-day event brought together more than 300 delegates from 17 state pharmacy chambers and associations. They discussed the profession's position in science, economy, and politics, and made decisions on its future direction.
A resolution adopted by the main assembly called for swift implementation of the coalition agreement's pharmacy reform plans. Delegates urged the Federal Ministry of Health to revise its reform proposals. Federal Minister of Health Nina Warken addressed the attendees during the opening session.
ABDA President Thomas Preis delivered his opening report on September 16, followed by a welcoming speech from Minister Warken. General Manager Dr. Sebastian Schmitz also presented his report.
