German podcast Dick & Doof to conclude production in August

The German podcast series Dick & Doof will cease regular production on August 5. Hosts Sandra Safiulov and Luca Scharpenberg announced the end of their seven-year project via a video statement, marking the conclusion of one of the country's prominent audio formats.

The pair explicitly dismissed rumors of personal conflict, attributing the decision instead to increasingly difficult scheduling demands. They stated that the pressure to pre-produce multiple episodes in single sessions compromised the quality and enjoyment of the content. They opted to end the project while maintaining its standards rather than continuing under strained conditions.

While weekly episodes will conclude in early August, the creators intend to release a series of special installments through the end of the calendar year to transition away from the format.
