Getriebebau NORD Introduces Decentralised Frequency Inverter for Conveyor Technology
Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG has launched the NORDAC _ON_ frequency inverter, designed for horizontal conveyor technology in lower power ranges. The product is slated for serial availability in Q4 2021.

Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG has introduced the NORDAC ON frequency inverter, expanding its range of decentralized drive electronics for applications requiring lower power outputs. The new unit is intended for horizontal conveyor technology and is expected to enter serial production in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The compact inverter is designed for decentralized use, mounting directly onto the drive housing. It covers power ranges up to 1.0 kW and is positioned as an economical plug-and-play solution suitable for industrial IoT (IIoT) environments.
The NORDAC ON will be offered in two sizes and two versions. The standard NORDAC ON model is for use with asynchronous motors, while the NORDAC ON+ variant is designed for integration with IE5 synchronous motors. Both versions feature integrated Ethernet interfaces for straightforward connection to modern automation systems.
Similar to other NORD frequency inverters, the NORDAC ON includes an integrated PLC. This component allows for processing of data from connected sensors and actuators, a prerequisite for implementing condition monitoring strategies and enabling advanced data processing within automated systems.
