Gigawatt Launches Utility Supplier Network, Expands into Procurement Software
Gigawatt has launched its Utility Supplier Network in partnership with Trust Your Supplier, aiming to streamline procurement and supplier management for utility companies.
Gigawatt, an AI-native software suite for regulated utilities, announced the launch of its Utility Supplier Network. The company has entered a strategic partnership with Trust Your Supplier (TYS) to expand its offerings into utility procurement software solutions.
The new network addresses the challenges utility companies face in managing supplier information. Traditionally, suppliers submit identical company records, certifications, and compliance documents to multiple utilities through separate portals, leading to increased administrative effort and delays. The Utility Supplier Network allows suppliers to maintain core information in one place, which can then be shared with participating utilities.
This centralized system is designed to provide utility procurement teams with a governed foundation for supplier onboarding, qualification, and risk management. It supports continuous monitoring of supplier risk and ensures traceability of approvals and changes, aiding compliance with regulations like NERC CIP-013 for supply chain risk management.
