The new GitBook migration tool analyzes existing GitBook content to understand the product and its intended audience. However, instead of a direct page-by-page copy, Git2Docs regenerates the documentation from the underlying GitHub codebase. A validation step compares the original GitBook content with the newly generated documentation. Git2Docs provides a coverage score and a list of gaps, indicating topics that are covered, partially covered, or missing. AI-powered recommendations are offered to help close any identified discrepancies.
