GK Software leads global POS software installations
Datos Insights report names GK Software the largest vendor for new POS software installations worldwide, highlighting its strong position in the Middle East and Africa.

Schöneck, Germany – GK Software has secured the top global position for new point-of-sale (POS) software installations between July 2024 and June 2025, according to the "Global POS Software 2025" report by research firm Datos Insights. The company achieved a 10% share across eight retail segments, marking it as the largest provider of new POS software deployments in the global retail technology market.
The company demonstrated significant growth in the Middle East and Africa, capturing 49% of all new installations in the region. This success was underpinned by a rapid rollout with Shoprite Group, South Africa's largest retailer, contributing to GK's leading position.
Furthermore, GK Software solidified its market leadership in Central and Eastern Europe. In the grocery sector, the company holds 25% of existing POS installations and accounts for nearly one-third of all new installations. These achievements reflect GK's ongoing customer-focused strategy as a subsidiary of Fujitsu.

The "Global POS Software 2025" study analyzed installation data from over 140 vendors in 48 countries, focusing on projects with a minimum of 1,000 POS terminals.
