Hana Bank subsidiary GLN has expanded its QR payment network in Korea through a partnership with Coocon. The network will add 500,000 Seoul Pay merchants in Seoul.

GLN, a subsidiary of Hana Bank, has significantly expanded its digital QR payment network in South Korea through a partnership with Coocon. The collaboration adds approximately 500,000 new Seoul Pay merchants in Seoul to GLN's network.
This expansion brings GLN's total network of QR payment merchants to approximately 1.5 million across Korea. The objective is to facilitate payments for international travelers within the country by leveraging mobile payment solutions.
Reports indicate that QR payment transactions by inbound international travelers in Korea increased by approximately 1,000% in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period in the previous year. This surge highlights the growing demand for accessible payment networks.
GLN aims to provide a seamless payment experience for foreign visitors, and this new partnership represents a strategic move toward that goal. The enlarged network is expected to support Korea's tourism sector and encourage the adoption of digital payment methods.
