Global Africa Business Initiative Opens Nominations for Leadership Awards

The Global Africa Business Initiative (GABI) has opened nominations for its community-led campaign designed to recognize and celebrate entrepreneurs, business leaders, and changemakers who are driving Africa's economic transformation through their ideas, leadership, and actions.

This global call for nominations precedes GABI's flagship event, Unstoppable Africa 2026, scheduled for September 20-21 in New York. The event is co-convened by the United Nations and the African Union and organized by the UN Global Compact. Building on the success of previous convenings, the campaign aims to highlight business individuals whose work exemplifies the innovation, resilience, and leadership propelling Africa's current growth.

An "Unstoppable African" is defined as someone whose vision, courage, or actions are actively reshaping possibilities within their community, industry, country, or continent. GABI is inviting nominations from worldwide for business leaders making a significant impact and influencing Africa's present and future trajectory.

Nominations are currently open and will be accepted until September 9 via the initiative's official portal.
