GMK TriggerKey Enhances Mechanical Keyboards with Adjustable Actuation Point
German manufacturer GMK has launched TriggerKey keycaps, featuring a patented lever mechanism to provide an adjustable actuation point for mechanical switches.
German keyboard and accessory maker GMK has introduced its TriggerKey keycaps, designed to offer mechanical keyboard users an adjustable actuation point, a feature previously common in analog switches. The product utilizes a patented lever structure to achieve this functionality.
The GMK TriggerKey is aimed at gamers, providing smooth and precise control through a screw-tightened spring mechanism. These keycaps are designed to be installed on MX-compatible mechanical switches, offering three distinct tactile feedback points. They support a tilt angle of up to 34 degrees and are constructed with ABS material using a double-shot injection molding process.
This innovation allows users to fine-tune the sensitivity of their mechanical keyboard switches. By adjusting the actuation point, gamers and typists can customize their typing feel and potentially improve response times. The design aims to bridge the gap between the distinct feel of mechanical switches and the customizability of analog ones.
The GMK TriggerKey set, containing four keycaps, is priced at 49 Euros, including taxes. Further details on compatibility and availability are expected to be released through official GMK channels.
