Gnani.ai Launches Sovereign AI Stack Artha for Indian Enterprises
Indian AI startup Gnani.ai has launched Artha, an end-to-end sovereign AI stack for Indian enterprises and public institutions. The platform aims to provide data sovereignty and cost-efficiency.

Indian AI startup Gnani.ai has unveiled Artha, an end-to-end sovereign AI stack designed for Indian enterprises and public institutions. The platform was launched with the aim of addressing challenges in AI adoption faced by Indian organizations, including data sovereignty, cost of scaling, and effective utilization across Indian languages and real-world use cases.
Artha integrates Gnani.ai's Evon v3.3, a 30 billion-parameter large language model trained on 11 Indian languages, and Plexus, the company's agentic AI platform. Evon v3.3 provides the underlying language intelligence, while Plexus allows organizations to build and deploy AI agents for specific workflows. Gnani.ai stated that the integrated stack will enable enterprises to use AI while retaining control over their data and technology infrastructure.
According to Gnani.ai co-founder and CEO Ganesh Gopalan, Evon v3.3 has been trained on 2 trillion tokens, with a focus on reasoning and Indic-language performance. The company plans to expand the model family with 70 billion and 100 billion parameter models and increase language coverage from 11 to 22 languages. The weights for Evon v3.3 are available on Hugging Face under an Apache 2.0 license.
The launch aligns with the Indian government's push for developing indigenous foundational AI models to reduce reliance on foreign systems. Gnani.ai was selected under the IndiaAI Mission initiative to develop such models. The company anticipates Evon and Plexus contributing 20-30% of its business within the next year.
Founded in 2017, Gnani.ai provides voice AI products for enterprises and government bodies across sectors like banking, insurance, healthcare, and telecommunications. Earlier this year, the company raised $10 million in a Series B funding round led by Aavishkaar Capital, with participation from Info Edge Ventures, to support international expansion and strengthen its AI capabilities.
