GoDaddy, Google, Cloudflare Demonstrate AI Agent Trust Framework

GoDaddy, a US-based domain registrar and web infrastructure company, along with Google, Cloudflare, and US network security firm Infoblox, demonstrated a cross-platform AI agent transaction framework at GovWare 2026 in Singapore. The framework, named Chain of Trust, was developed in collaboration with Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).

The open architecture integrates agent discovery, identity, authorization, communication, payment, logging, and trust scoring. Its purpose is to enable businesses to verify the trustworthiness of AI agents throughout a transaction lifecycle. The demonstration simulated a flight purchase using the Universal Commerce Protocol, including identity and trust checks before payment via Stripe.

According to the participating companies, the system successfully blocked a look-alike seller and forged credentials before any transaction occurred. Several companies have published a prototype case study of the framework and are inviting other registrars, cloud providers, payment networks, and regulators to adopt it.

Further work on agent identity is being conducted within the World Wide Web Consortium community group and the Internet Engineering Task Force.
