Godawan launches stop-motion campaign highlighting endangered bustard species
Whisky brand Godawan has released a stop-motion film featuring 5,200 ceramic pieces to raise awareness for the critically endangered Great Indian Bustard.

Godawan has introduced a stop-motion animation project to draw public attention to the plight of the Great Indian Bustard. The production utilizes 5,200 hand-painted ceramic components to illustrate the history of the bird, which was once considered a candidate for India's national bird status.
While marketed as a brand-building initiative for the Indian single malt whisky producer, the campaign focuses on the environmental vulnerability of the species. The Great Indian Bustard faces critical population decline due to habitat loss and infrastructure interference, leaving only a small number of birds in the wild.
The project marks a shift in corporate storytelling, moving away from traditional advertising by emphasizing ecological conservation. By tying the brand identity to the bird’s namesake, the company aims to foster public support for wildlife protection efforts in India.
