Godzilla-0.0 Film Trailer Released, Shot in IMAX
Japan's first IMAX-shot film, "Godzilla-0.0", has released its final trailer. The film hints at the return of a classic foe and is set for a November release.

Toho Co., Ltd. has unveiled the final trailer for its upcoming film "Godzilla-0.0," notably Japan's first film shot entirely in the IMAX format. The trailer suggests the return of a classic adversary.
The movie picks up the narrative from "Godzilla-1.0," depicting the world two years after Godzilla's attack. The trailer features a recognizable golden beam and a familiar monster roar, strongly pointing towards Godzilla's iconic arch-nemesis, King Ghidorah.
Takashi Yamazaki returns to direct, write, and oversee visual effects for "Godzilla-0.0," with Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe reprising their roles. The film is scheduled for release in Japan on November 3, coinciding with "Godzilla Day," and will open in North America on November 6, including IMAX screenings.
"Godzilla-1.0" was released on November 3, 2023, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Godzilla franchise. Set in post-World War II Japan, the film portrayed Godzilla as a force driving an already devastated nation further into despair. The production team also includes individuals who won an Oscar for Best Visual Effects at the 96th Academy Awards.
