GOFO Releases Report on U.S. Parcel Delivery Shifts
GOFO released a new industry white paper at PARCEL Forum examining the evolving landscape of U.S. parcel delivery. The report analyzes trends in e-commerce and fulfillment models.

Orlando, Fla. โ September 24, 2026 โ Last-mile technology provider GOFO released its new industry white paper, "How Fragmenting E-Commerce Is Rebuilding the U.S. Last Mile," at PARCEL Forum 2026 in Orlando.
GOFO's analysis indicates a growing diversification in the U.S. parcel delivery market. E-commerce volume is increasingly spread across various marketplaces, platforms, direct-to-consumer brands, and fulfillment models. This is creating more varied requirements for pickup, delivery, system integration, and network coordination.
In 2025, U.S. domestic parcel volume reached 23.9 billion packages. While national carriers UPS, FedEx, and USPS accounted for approximately 61% of this volume, the "Other Carriers" category, comprising regional and alternative providers, handled around 2.5 billion packages, marking a roughly 13% year-over-year increase. GOFO's report delves into these shifts and their implications for designing parcel networks.
Vincent D'Amato, GOFO's Chief Sales Officer for North America, also participated in a panel discussion on regional carriers and presented on leveraging speed, flexibility, and intelligent automation in last-mile deliveries. The white paper includes case studies illustrating diverse carrier needs for platforms like TikTok, Dr. Squatch, and Walmart Marketplace.
