GOKE supplies 50MP image sensor for iQOO 16 smartphone

Chinese image sensor manufacturer GOKE has confirmed that its GC50F0 image sensor will be integrated into the iQOO 16 flagship smartphone. This 50-megapixel sensor is intended to enhance the performance of the phone's ultra-wide-angle camera.

The GC50F0 sensor is based on GOKE's GalaxyCell 2.0 process technology. It features a 1/2.8-inch optical format and a pixel size of 0.64 micrometers. The sensor is capable of outputting high-resolution 50-megapixel images and supports 4K video recording. GOKE states the sensor allows for a wide field of view and detailed image capture.

The iQOO 16 also incorporates a separate 50-megapixel sensor with a 1/1.3-inch size, which offers a 79% improvement in light intake compared to the iQOO 15 model. Additionally, the smartphone includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and CIPA 5.5-rated professional-grade image stabilization.

Further specifications of the iQOO 16 include a global debut of a 2K 165Hz Samsung E6 display. This screen utilizes Samsung's M16 luminescent material and supports manual peak brightness of 1100 nits, global peak brightness of 2800 nits, and local peak brightness of 10000 nits. The display also covers 1.24 times the P3 color gamut and undergoes per-screen color calibration.
