GoldMining Appoints Project Director for São Jorge Gold Project Advancement

GoldMining Inc. has appointed Alexandre Soares Pimenta as Project Director for its wholly-owned São Jorge Gold Project, located in Pará State, Brazil. Mr. Pimenta will lead the project's progression, including the commencement of pre-feasibility activities and an infill diamond drilling program designed to support further evaluation and development planning.

Mr. Pimenta brings over 25 years of experience in mining, metallurgy, engineering, and large-scale industrial project development, having held senior roles at companies including ORE Investments, Gerdau, and Alcoa. The company is initiating technical and engineering work to advance the project beyond its previously completed Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), aiming to evaluate the requirements for a potential future development decision.

GoldMining is also preparing an infill drilling program intended to improve the definition of the São Jorge deposit. The PEA, released in June 2026, outlined a conventional open-pit operation with a projected mine life of 10.6 years. The assessment modelled an after-tax net present value of $532 million and an internal rate of return of 42.4%, based on a gold price of $3,500 per ounce. However, there is no certainty the PEA will be realized, as it includes inferred mineral resources.

The São Jorge Gold Project is situated in the Tapajós gold district in Pará State, Brazil, adjacent to regional highway BR-163. Its mineralization style is similar to the Tocantinzinho gold mine, located approximately 80 km northwest, which commenced production in 2024. GoldMining is now focused on further defining the deposit and advancing the technical work to assess São Jorge's development potential.
