Goodwill Industries to host 69th annual Thanksgiving event in Baltimore

Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake is set to host its 69th annual Thanksgiving Dinner and Resource Fair on November 25 at the Baltimore Convention Center. The event aims to serve more than 2,000 individuals, offering a traditional meal alongside access to employment services and essential winter supplies.

The resource fair portion of the event will connect attendees with career training, resume assistance, and local employment support services. Organizers emphasize that the event seeks to address immediate needs while providing pathways to long-term economic independence for those facing barriers to employment.

CEO Lisa Rusyniak stated that the goal is to ensure guests leave with tangible resources for their future, beyond the immediate relief of the holiday meal. More than 300 volunteers are scheduled to assist staff during the day. The organization is currently accepting donations of winter clothing and financial contributions to support its year-round workforce development programs.
