Goodwin University Expands Free Education and Career Training to Massachusetts
Goodwin University is extending its SNAP Path to Work program to Massachusetts, offering no-cost education and career training to eligible SNAP participants.

Goodwin University, a nonprofit institution based in Connecticut, has expanded its no-cost education and career training programs to Massachusetts through its SNAP Path to Work initiative. This program aims to help eligible Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants access employment and workforce training opportunities.
For over a decade, Goodwin has provided similar opportunities to eligible SNAP recipients in Connecticut, with more than 200 students completing programs between 2024 and 2026. In August 2026, the university partnered with Vermont's 3SquaresVT, extending its reach to qualifying Vermont residents.
Eligible Massachusetts residents can now pursue cost-free educational programming at Goodwin University, with most courses offered online. The offerings include short-term professional badges, certificate programs, and associate degrees. Training focuses on in-demand fields such as healthcare, business, manufacturing, human services, and funeral services.
Through this expansion, Goodwin University seeks to equip eligible SNAP participants with practical skills and credentials for growing industries. The university's increasing partnerships across New England underscore its commitment to reducing educational barriers and connecting individuals with pathways to economic advancement.
